Reviews:

* If you're looking for something practical, affordable and efficient but not boring, the 2015 Fiat 500 subcompact is a viable alternative to the Nissan Versa Note, Scion iQ or Honda Fit. The Abarth model will give the Mini Cooper a run for its money, too. Source: KBB.com
* Distinctive styling; very good fuel economy with manual transmission; surprisingly spacious for two people. Source: Edmunds
* With over 500,000 possible combinations you can make the FIAT 500 uniquely yours. Choose from 15 amazingly stylish paint colors finished in metallic, non-metallic, or premium tri-coat for added expression. Customization choices abound, including exterior/interior color combos, custom wheels, seat covers, decal kits, body-side molding inserts and more. Driver and front-passenger seats are available in leather and cloth with new armrest and seat cushions. A leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls lends a solid grip. And, a uniquely designed gauge-within-a-gauge instrument cluster offers innovative driving feedback. FIAT 500 and 500c now deliver up to 31 city and 40 highway mpg thanks to powertrain optimization and the efficiency of the 1.4L MultiAir engine and five-speed manual transmission. Press the Sport Button and notice the elevated steering response and engine and shifting response for a feeling of quickness, stability and control. Equipped with BLUE&ME hands-free communication, your FIAT 500 lets you make calls, play music and drive without taking your hands off the wheel. Protected by 7 airbags, including driver and multistage front-passenger advanced airbags, driver's knee airbag, full-length side-curtain airbags and seat-mounted pelvic-thorax airbags, rest assured you're enveloped in safety & security. Reactive head restraints also activate in the event of a rear collision. The computer-designed steel safety cage channels the energy away from driver and passengers by absorbing it in defined front and rear crumple zones. Standard side guard door beams provide protection during a side impact, and an all-new airbag system offers enhanced protection to all occupants in the event of a collision. Ive owned this for about a year now and put 10,000 miles with no problems minus the body molding having a slight separation which was covered under warranty. I get great gas mileage and its a blast to drive. Great with the top down and always gets the looks. People are always asking what kind of car it is. Ive owned many cars but this one is near the top as far as wanting to drive it in the twists!
  • About As Much Fun You Can Have On Four Wheels

I'm going on my third month of ownership and am very pleased so far. The Good: Easy to live with; the two longer doors (vs. four) and the higher seat height often panned in "expert" reviews actually make getting in and out much easier. What's the point of having four doors when they're Barbie and Ken sized? Front seats are comfortable and supportive and keep you in place. Economical: 28 to 34 real world mpg depending on how much of a lead foot you have. 91 octane recommended, 87 octane "acceptable". Ride: Firm but compliant and better than any car with such a short wheelbase (90.6") has a right to. Best of all the 500 models and many of its competitors imho thanks in part to Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) technology. Handling: Much less body roll than my previous 500 Sport, the Abarth stays planted and composed. Power: Feels like a A/A Top Fueler compared to a non-turbo 500 and oh, the sound! The Bad: Unlike other 500 models, the Abarth has a big turning circle (37+ feet) ..... if you do a lot of u-turns it could be an issue. The Pirelli PZero tires stick well, are good in the wet but they don't like rain grooves. Conclusion: For a practical, fun to drive car at this price point, the FIAT 500 Abarth is a class of one.
